How long will it last?

The Mesa V3 fits children from 4 to 30 lbs, or until the top of their head is within one inch of the top of the shell / they hit 32" tall — whichever comes first. In practice, height usually ends the run before weight does, so plan on roughly 10–14 months of use for an average baby.

That 30 lb ceiling is worth a note: the older Mesa V2 was rated to 35 lbs. For almost every family this makes no real-world difference — babies outgrow infant seats by height long before 30 lbs — but if you specifically want to maximize months in the bucket seat for a lighter/longer baby, it’s a fair point to weigh.

This is the real decision most of our customers face, because both seats click onto the Vista and Cruz. The short version: the Aria V2 is the lightweight specialist; the Mesa V3 is the feature-rich all-rounder.
